Thursday, May 27th- Today we toured Paramount Studios with Patrick Gallagher (Coach Tanaka from Glee) and Josh (Jacob Ben Isreal -Glee). Glee is a closed set and we were one of the first groups to tour the set. Kyle sang in the Choir room, Mrs. Taft posed in the Ceramics classroom, Jena "signed upd" for Glee Yearbook and Miss Farley sat at Emma's desk (the guidance counselor--and yes--it was covered in plastic--fitting!). We were toured all around Paramount Studios seeing Laverne & Shirly, Breakfast at Tiffany's, The Godfather and many more box office hit stages/storefronts. It was pretty cool. After Paramount, Tyler guided us to Ameoba Records...a ginormous (and famous) record store--the largest in the country. After leaving Ameoba we drove past Capital Records, another L.A. landmark. We concluded today with a viewing of Jeff Stockwell's (a former Pingree teacher turned screenwriter) movies which we will discuss with him on Saturday. Tomorrow we take the official Hollywood tour and then meet with a Director, Producer, Agent and Entertainment Lawyer. It's been an exciting and informative trip so far! More to come tomorrow
